The best thing about a cookie dough calzone is that they can be as unique to your personal preferences as you like! Keep things super chocolatey and gooey by adding brownie dough, chocolate caramel cups or go super caramely by adding bake stable caramel fudge, salted caramel cookie dough and slated caramel sugar pearls. The dough’s your oyster, so you’ll be sure to find the calzone that matches your preference!
Ingredients:
Pizza Dough – we recommend using a frozen dough that you can defrost at home and roll out
Flour – for rolling your dough
Dessert Sauce – Chocolate, Caramel, Strawberry etc…
Spread – Chocolate Hazelnut, Speculoos, Peanut Butter etc…
Any Bling Inclusions of your choice
Method:
Step 1 – Preheat your oven to 160 degrees (fan)
Step 2 – Sift flour over your workspace until your workspace and rolling pin are well covered. Place your dough in the centre and roll out into a large circle by alternating the direction of the rolling pin (If you want to make things extra sweet add Bling bake stable fudge to your dough before rolling it out)
Step 3 - Apply your sauce, making sure the dough is well covered
Step 4 – Add frozen cookie dough chunks to one side of your dough and follow with any of your favourite bling ingredients directly on top. (We liked Chocolate caramel cups, and Salted Caramel Sugar Pearls)
Step 5 – Add a generous amount of your favourite spread on top of your inclusions
Step 6 – Fold over the inclusion free side of your dough over the top of your inclusions and press down with your fingertips to seal everything in
Step 7 – Place a piece of baking paper on to a baking tray with your calzone on top and bake for 6 – 10 minutes
Step 8 – Remove from oven and let cool to a reasonable temperature before tucking in! (Be careful your calzone will be very hot when you remove it from the oven, especially all of those melted goodies inside)
